A Rock ’n’ Roll Wedding in Kent!
When it comes to weddings, some couples dream of tradition others want to break the mould completely. At Host, we love nothing more than helping couples create a day that reflects their true personality. If your vibe is leather jackets, electric guitars, and pure rebellion, then a rock ’n’ roll wedding is right up your street.
Recently, we had the absolute joy of planning a wedding in Kent that was anything but ordinary. With a Harley Davidson entrance down the aisle, a wedding cake piñata, and a party that went late into the night, this was one celebration that truly turned the volume up to eleven.
The Entrance: Born to Be Wild
Forget walking gracefully down the aisle our bride roared in on a Harley Davidson, leather jacket flowing, sunglasses on, and the crowd cheering like they were at a sold out gig. It was the ultimate show stopper and set the tone for the rest of the day: unapologetically bold, fun, and unforgettable.
Styling a Rock ’n’ Roll Wedding
Kent has some amazing venues that lend themselves perfectly to this kind of theme from rustic barns with exposed brickwork to industrial-chic spaces with metal beams and moody lighting. We styled this wedding with:
Pink and red accents, softened with candles and fairy lights.
Disco balls.. Everywhere.
Personalised news papers as table settings, filled with their love story and games for each table.
Wild, untamed florals with deep reds, hot pinks, and touches of greenery for that edgy-meets-romantic vibe.
A Cake Smash with a Twist 🎂
Who says your wedding cake has to be sliced politely with a silver knife? Our couple opted for a wedding cake piñata a custom creation filled with sweets and treats. The Bride & Groom took turns with a bat (safely, of course!) until the cake cracked open in a shower of colour. It was interactive, hilarious, and had everyone talking long after the night ended.
Coupled with this each table got their own wedding cake, rather then one big one cut by the bride & groom and distributed by the staff. Each table had a nominated cake cutter, this position was earned by the couples table games, whoever scored the highest each table got to cut the cake!
Music & Atmosphere
No rock ’n’ roll wedding would be complete without the right soundtrack. A live rock band kept the dance floor full all night, mixing classics with modern favourites. Guests swapped formal shoes for Converse and Dr. Martens, and there wasn’t a quiet moment until the final encore.
Why We Loved It
This wedding was the perfect reminder that your day should be a reflection of you. Whether that means white roses and elegance, or Harley Davidsons and piñatas, Host is here to make it happen.
